This was our first Lamaze play & grow purchase and I was so impressed that I ordered two more 'designs' for my son and my niece. Lots of colours and textures of material to explore; the legs are perfect for little hands to grab and the feet seem to be good for chomping! My son also loves nibbling on the two teething rings attached. Not sure he'll get to the stage where he can squeak the small knight on top himself, but it always cheers him up when I do it! Despite washing instructions being surface wash only it has been through the machine four times on a 30 degree cycle and shows no signs of it (which is more than I can say for some ELC purchases). The integrated clip is a handy feature for attaching to pushchair etc.

Fantastic and colourful there great quality and really lovely, my daughter loves it so ive brought some more. My little one is only 6wks but always stares and calms down when we play with them with her. Wish these had been around when i had my first.

For me, this is one of the best stair/safety gates on the market, especially when you take into account the price. It has two way opening, which can also be restricted to one way opening if needed. It has the clip at the bottom for use as an extra lock if need be. They generally fit quite easily and can be opened easily with one adult hand (but it proves tricky for even older children). In my opinion, this one is better that the next model up, which does have automatic close, as this one forces you to ensure the gate is closed securely behind you rather than relying on some auto mechanism, which could potentially fail at some point. Also when you have your hands full with baby and other items, it is a bit inconvenient to have it keep closing on you. You can buy extention kits that make the gate wider, which I have done for my stairs top and bottom to make a tighter fit. The only suggestion I would make is that they should invent a similar connection section that joins a couple... Read more

We have several of these in use for our two year old and they are one of the best options available (and after four children we've done our share of searching). Impossible to climb over (even for our little monkey) they are super convenient for adults and older children and simple to open (can be made to open either in or out). they are sturdy and easy to fit in just about any standard size stairwell or doorway. Only downside we have found was that the plastic parts (handle and piece that controls which direction the gate opens) break fairly easily with frequent use. Heavier duty plastic or a modified opening system would easily solve the problem and I believe they now make a similar gate that has new handle (probably due to customer suggestions/complaints). But for the money still well worth it! Wish my in laws had these when we visited (they still use the old wooden style that have to be climbed over or removed for an adult to get past).

I bought this gate to secure my puppy!! It was easy to fit and is secure. Everyone likes it apart from the puppy who is restricted to where she can go!!
Brilliant buy, however my friends 3 year old son was visiting and it took him half a day to fathom how it works. He can open it easily. Great for puppies, not so sure about toddlers!

What a task finding baby monitors is!!!! I did so much research but I really feel it paid off with this monitor. Firstly, who the hell needs a monitor with video? It's just insane to assume that you'll sit there all night looking at a 3 inch screen when you might as well just stand by the cot all night. The Angelcare saves you on this one because the movement sensor pad will tell you if there's something you need to deal with quickly. I was worried about false alarms, but after 3 weeks of using this we've not had one false start. I even ran some hardcore tests where I literally just stroked my fingers over the surface of the mattress and this thing picks it up. I then got paranoid and thought if it was this sensitive then surely it might mistake someone playing music loudly downstairs for heartbeat movement in the cot, so I did some jumping up and down next to the cot and it didn't pick that up - perfect, despite how dumb I looked at the time!

This is a great little piece of kit and has almost everything you would want in a movement and sound monitor. Being our first baby, we thought long and hard over our choice of monitor and in the end I think we picked the right product. As with everything there are features that are included in some products but not others and this one must lose a star for the lack of 2 way talkback functionality.

That being said, the sound quality from the one way system is top notch. The sensor pad is also a really really good idea. I could sleep through a brass band playing at the bottom of the bed and one morning while I was snoring away, unbeknown to me, my partner lifted the child from the cot and brought him downstairs. After 20 seconds the alarm (similar to a smoke alarm noise) went off and I was outta that bed like a shot standing over an empty cot in a state of panic with a heart rate of about 180... Thankful for the false alarm, but also because the damn thing works... Read more

I bought this model a few days ago following a couple of disaster purchases (esential video monitor.)Being a 1st time parent, it's important to have faith in the monitor you choose - The sound quality on this model is superb (zero interference)and this has so many great features over and above the movement sensor - such as temperature alarm, also the choice of sound activated monitoring or continuous. The night light is lovely also, just enough to see my daughter without disturbing her putting extra lights on - I would recommend this to any parent.
